Attacks with knives and other edged-weapons are usually very fast and violent. In order to survive an attack, one must have a plan and execute it quickly & effectively. The likelihood of success is generally low without prior training and a desire to live. Starting with important concepts like situational awareness, combat mindset, and violence of action- students will then learn techniques to defeat common knife attack methods. With those concepts and techniques in mind, students will practice employing them in various scenarios that mimic the real world’s violence and unpredictability.
