Do you know what to do when someone has sustained a gunshot, knife wound or other trauma? While unpleasant to think about, these are realities everyone should know how to address when seconds count and paramedics are minutes away. Based on the US Military’s Combat Lifesaver (CLS), this course will present the knowledge and skills necessary to provide immediate care for the most common situations in tactical medicine from certified instructors with real world experience. Students will learn and practice the following life-saving procedures utilizing industry-standard equipment:
• Wound assessment and hemorrhage control
• Tourniquet application techniques
• Basic airway management
• Treat and manage gunshot wounds
• Treat and manage stab wounds
• Treat a penetrating chest wound
• Recognize and treat a sucking chest wound
• Recognize and treat tension Pneumothorax
REQUIREMENTS:
• 18 years of age (or accompanied by parent or legal guardian)

So unquestionably, experiencing it and practicing it hands-on will make it easier to remember, if [WHEN] the need arises. Everyone should have a first-aid kit and know how to use it. I just completed this class today and as with all the Trinity Tactical courses I have attended It was Great, I highly recommend this course for anyone who would like to get comprehensive training in trauma care. I have attended many many first aid courses over the years and am always disappointed by the watered down nature of them. Real world trauma care could include cuts, stabs, bullet wounds, massive blood loss ext. Knowing where to start and what to do before help arrives is invaluable and I am very pleased with the information, instruction, and hands on training in this class. Basic Trauma care course was great! This course covers triage and the ABCs of in the field care along with suggested tools for your Individual First Aid Kit. This was a great course. Terrific brief on trauma tools and techniques for the person who shoots. Amazing 5 hr. Practical course.
